Join us for the Urban Guild Summit on November 8-10, 2024 at the Village of Providence in Huntsville, Alabama. The Summit is our annual opportunity to bring together Guild members and colleagues, and to celebrate the Urban Guild awards.

The Summit creatively combines advanced discussions about the latest practical tools and techniques for designing lovable and enduring buildings, neighborhoods and cities along with in-depth tours, and the annual Urban Guild Awards celebration.

The program includes sessions on missing middle housing and development, essential street design, how cities can better leverage suburban retrofit development, successful evolution from designer to incremental developer, civic space typologies, incorporating the latest technology in design, and lessons learned from the Village of Providence.

The weekend also features field exercises on fine tuning Main Street architecture, and a design competition on Providence’s town square. We’ll get a backstage pass to the Orion Amphitheater, a 2023 Guild Design Excellence award, located in MidCity, a mixed-use development on the site of a former suburban mall. 

Location. The Village of Providence, a DPZ CoDesign project and Charter Award recipient, will serve as our home base for the weekend. AIA accreditation will be provided. Hotel recommendations coming soon.
