Brian Mork is the founding Principal of Studio Mork, LLC, an architectural firm focusing on traditionally informed, classically inspired design. Throughout his career in architecture, Mork has worked on a wide range of project scales and types—ranging from institutional and mixed-use buildings, to multi-family and single family residential projects.

As an avid promoter of walkable, mixed-use urbanism, Mork continues his passion of lifelong learning through close studies of the patterns of traditional buildings, towns and cities across the United States and Europe, with the lessons from such places informing his thinking about both the design of urban places as well as individual works of architecture. Mork believes strongly that our historic cities offer invaluable lessons for truly sustainable design.

Mork received a Master of Architecture degree from Judson University where he concentrated in Traditional Architecture and Urbanism. Following his studies at Judson, Mork went on to receive a Master of Architectural Design and Urbanism from the University of Notre Dame, concentrating in Urbanism. He was the inaugural recipient of the Fellowship in Architecture offered through the Luminarts Cultural Foundation and the Midwest Chapter of the ICA&A. He is also a member of the Congress for the New Urbanism, Strong Towns and the ICA&A. Mork is a registered architect in Illinois, Pennsylvania, Arkansas & Colorado.
